About Us

From the ground looking up at tall redwood trees with thick trunks and green foliage.

Harmony Wellness started in 2016, when co-owners Jules & Lisa merged their solo practices and opened two offices: one in the North Tabor neighborhood and the other in Tanasbourne.

A place of healing, to safely set down your pain and let your body reconnect to itself. Our treatment sessions include body, mind & spirit; treating your whole being instead of just “the place that hurts”. It doesn’t matter how long you have been experiencing discomfort in your body - we work with you to rebuild a healthy, pain-free relationship.

We are Harmony Wellness

Chronic pain, injuries & stress all create a disconnect between our bodies and our minds. Working together, we will release the restrictions within all the systems, balance compensation patterns and restore your mind-body connection. Restore balance, create healing. My bodywork style incorporates myofascial release, muscle energy techniques and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation in combination with structural integration and intuitive healing to help ease your body back into balance. I am also a Certified Crystal Healer and Tarot Card Reader.

I believe everyone’s body has a story and I want to help you tell it. Through this work we will discover both the physical and emotional restraints in your body and release them. We are often unaware of what we hold within and how destructive it can be to our overall well-being. During sessions, I assist with releasing compensation patterns, increasing your awareness of your mind-body connection and easing the physical and emotional stress you carry. I believe you can feel better and, as we work together, you will begin to believe it too. My bodywork style incorporates CranioSacral, myofascial release, scar release and more.

FAQs

Will I get undressed?

No. This is not a “relaxation”massage. Please wear what you would for yoga or working out. Thin cotton pants/shorts and a t-shirt would also work. No denim, corduroy, or heavy fabric.

Am I going to be sore?

We do not do deep pressure massage. Depending on what we are working on, there may be some residual soreness, the kind you experience after working out. Generally, it doesn’t last more than 24 hours. We suggest icing the areas worked once you are home to help minimize the pain response.

Do you take insurance?

We do not take insurance. However, we will provide you with either a written or emailed receipt that will have a provider ID and CPT code that you can submit to your carrier for possible reimbursement.

When can I work out again?

Depending on what is done, you can usually work out same day. However, if focused work was done on an area - DO NOT work out that area again. Give it 24 hours. Walking, running, cycling, etc should be fine, just don’t over do it! Please note, you may feel really good, which might lead to overdoing it, so be mindful of that impulse!

Do you take debit cards?

Since we use Square all credit/debit as well as HSA/FSA cards, plus Apple and Google Pay are accepted. Checks and cash are appreciated, however if paying with cash, be aware we might not have change available. We also have Venmo, if you want to pay electronically.

Will the massage hurt?

Short answer, maybe. It all depends on your pain threshold, the depth of your restrictions, the amount of time those restrictions have been stuck in your body. However, if at anytime you are uncomfortable, please let us know and we will shift how we are working. We never have to “push through” any of the releases we do. High levels of pain will trigger a "fight or flight" response, which is the exact opposite of what we are trying to achieve.
